The South African wine industry has come a long way since 1994. Inclusivity, upliftment and growth of our industry and its people are at the forefront. While there is still much to be done, we should also recognise the many entities that consistently aid the wellbeing and positive growth of the 291,000 people who are employed within our industry.
The profile of South African wine is set to attract greater international attention now that a new Wine of Origin District named after Cape Town, one of the world’s foremost tourism brands, has been approved by the South African Wine and Spirit Board.
Hall 9: B28, B38 and B48 This year the South African wine industry will be represented by approximately 85 exhibitors who will be showcasing their wines at the Wines of South Africa pavilions at ProWein Düsseldorf, Germany from the 19 – 21 March 2017. These include a diverse range from major multi-brand owners and co-operatives to smaller independent winemakers, all keen to highlight their unique and innovative offerings.
