How To Play:
No purchase necessary. Participants must be 19 years of age or older and living in Ontario. Chances of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received. This on-line contest runs from February 1 to March 1, 2015. All entries must be received online by midnight (EST) March 1, 2015. The prize consists of two roundtrip, economy tickets to Cape Town, South Africa courtesy of SAA (flights originating from Toronto, ON), eight nights’ accommodation at 3 deluxe winelands properties (including breakfast), all airport and inter hotel transfers while in South Africa, and a half day city tour in Cape Town. Other meals and items of a personal nature are not included. The prize is valued at $8,000CDN and will be awarded by random draw on March 3, 2015. The trip must be taken within a year from the contest closing date and is subject to blackout dates. Upon being selected, the winner must correctly answer, unassisted, a time-limited, arithmetic skill-testing question by phone. One entry per household.
- The winner will be required to sign a document in a form acceptable to the Liquor Control Board of Ontario (“LCBO”) releasing the LCBO, its directors, officers, employees and agents from all liability of any kind in connection with the contest, or occurring as a result of the prize being awarded;
- To be eligible to win, the entrant must not be an employee or a member of the immediate family of, or domiciled with an employee of the LCBO, an employee of the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (“AGCO”) or of any licensees authorized by AGCO, or of the independent contest organization;
- The LCBO and AGCO are not connected to this contest in any manner whatsoever and are not liable in any way for any matter related to this contest.
- The prize must be accepted on an “as is” basis and that there is no substitution of prizes.
- The contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws.
- By entering the contest, entrants agree to abide by the contest rules and decisions of the independent contest organization which are final.
Limitation of Liability
Except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law, Wines of South Africa and its respective affiliates shall not be liable for any loss, damage, expense, claim, settlement or judgment whatsoever, including but not limited to, attorney’s fees which a prize winner may have, or which any other party may have against the prize winner, arising directly or indirectly from acceptance of the prize by the prize winner or participation in the Trip including without limitation, any injury, accident, illness, death or damage to the trip winner or property of the trip winner or delay or inconvenience of any kind sustained or arising out of the prize or caused by reason of any defect, negligence or a wrongful act or omission by any third party, hotel, airline or any other such party providing such services or facilities as part of the prize.

- Wines of South Africa assumes no responsibility for any failure of the Competition website during the promotional period or for any problems or technical malfunction of any communications network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or entry to be received on account of technical problems, human error or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website or any combination thereof including any injury or damage to an entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from playing or down loading any material in the promotion. Subject to applicable law, Wines of South Africa reserves the right to withdraw, amend or terminate the Competition at any time without prior notice In the event of a dispute as to who submitted an entry, the entry shall be deemed submitted by an “authorized e-mail account holder” and entries will be declared made by the authorized e-mail account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry. “Authorized e-mail account holder” is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider, or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. The potential winner may be requested to provide Wines of South Africa with proof that the potential winner is the authorized account holder of the e-mail address associated with the potentially winning entry.
- Declaration of Release
- Before departing for the Trip, the prize winner and any person intending to accompany the prize winner may be required to sign an agreement indemnifying Wines of South Africa from various liabilities associated with the Trip.
- Applicable Law
- The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws.
- General Conditions
- a. If any of these conditions are found by any court to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable, the balance of the conditions shall continue to be valid to the fullest extent permitted by law.
- b. Any intellectual property rights arising out of the entry will be owned by the Promoter.
