Intro:

After successful participation in the 2016 edition of the biggest wine trade show in The Netherlands, Wines of South Africa is considering taking a stand again at this year’s Wine Professional show in Amsterdam if there is sufficient interest. This year Wines of South Africa will be taking a bigger stand to have a stronger presence at the event.  The categories for entering are:

Description:

•         Interesting terroir:
Exploring the unique and far reaching areas of the South African winelands.  This will include new and unusual regional areas and vineyard sites.

•         Unusual Suspects:
This tasting theme will showcase the plethora of more unusual varieties, from rare plantings to the unexpected, highlighting the new and non-traditional varietal wines now being produced in South Africa.

•         Organics:
Organic, biodynamic and natural wines.  We would like to show a range of wines under this theme to showcase the winemaking styles of this category.  Kindly note that Organic wines will need to be defined as those certified by an approved certification agency as “organic” or “made from organic grapes” according to international legislation (in most cases this is EU or USDA).

•         Cap Classique (MCC):
Only wines produced using the Methode Cap Classique will be showcased.

The cost of  participation is €380 per wine. The aim is to have 16 wines on the stand. The main target audience at this event is the on-trade and media.  The selected wines should have distribution in the traditional channels in The Netherlands.  However, if there are producers in these categories looking for presentation, you are also welcome to enter.

Entry confirmation will be subject to space availability on the stand.  Required sample volume:  six bottles per wine delivered in The Netherlands.  Participation has to be confirmed by the end of May 2016 and the payment deadline is the end of June.
