VOKA South African Embassy Event - Antwerp, Belgium, 20 June 2014

VOKA (http://www.voka.be/) is a Flemish network of over 18.000 businesses aimed at promoting and facilitating business opportunities for entrepreneurs. WOSA attended the VOKA Tuinfeest at Antwerp Zoo on Friday 20 June. Around 1,500 guests attended, including some very prominent people in the trade and political sector of Belgium.

WOSA shared a booth with the South African Embassy - they are a passionate and creative team and we really enjoyed showcasing South Africa together. The WOSA booth was popular and all the wines were well appreciated, but it was especially the white wines that received very positive feedback (possibly due to the warm Spring weather!). Wines showcased included Cederberg Sauvignon Blanc 2013, De Bos Chenin 2013, Tokara Chardonnay 2012, De Bos Merlot, and Nederburg Manor House Shiraz.  Everyone who tasted received a tasting note indicating the details of the wines tasted and where they can be bought - tasters were all very interested in knowing where they could buy the wines, leading hopefully to good promotion for sales of the importers of these wines.

It was also a pleasure to work together with VOKA on this event and all agreed that it was a very successful event for VOKA and its mission to promote trade to South Africa. VOKA is planning a trade mission to South Africa in November in collaboration with the South African embassy in Brussels.
