World Bulk Wine Exhibition, November 2016


Recently the 8th edition of the World Bulk Wine exhibition took place in Amsterdam (21 & 22 November).  Excellent growth for the event saw 25% more visitor registrations compared to 2015. This year there were more than 6,000 visitors from a total of 66 countries who came to sample the wines on offer. The quality of visitors was perceived as high. 


Approximately 220 producing companies participated - from 22 countries as diverse as Argentina, Armenia, Australia, Belgium, Chile, China, France, Georgia, Germany, Holland, Hungary, Italy, New Zealand, Malaysia, Moldovia, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, The United Kingdom, the United States and, of course, South Africa.

Wines of South Africa had a generic stand representing Lutzville Cape Diamond Wines, Orange River Cellars, Koelenhof Winery, Arbelos Wines, New Cape Wines, Mountain Ridge Wines, Cape Dutch Vignerons and Wellington Wines. Other participating South African companies included: Uniwines, Overhex, Boland Kelder, Origin Wine and The Bulk Wine Centre.


For the second year in a row Arbelos Wines were one of the medal winners in the Bulk Wine Competition, winning a gold medal and two silver medals.
