Wines of South Africa (WOSA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Annette Badenhorst as Country Manager for the USA with effect from January 2012, when we will officially open an office in the USA. This appointment and strategic move reflects the industry`s increasing focus on the US market.

Annette holds an Honours Degree in Marketing and has worked in the South African wine industry for over 12 years. During this time, she gained considerable experience in the US wine trade, working in New York for a US importer. Annette is familiar with the task of generic marketing for the SA wine industry, as she has been the WOSA Market Manager for the Netherlands and Belgium for the past 2 years.

Annette will stay on in the Netherlands until December 2011 to ensure a smooth hand over as WOSA will be continuing to invest in the Dutch and Belgian markets. Wine and Food Associates has been WOSA`s representative in the US for the past 11 years, and we will retain Rory Callahan`s invaluable services and experience as a consultant to assist Annette as she sets up the new office.

Wines of South Africa is opgewonde om aan te kondig dat Annette Badenhorst aangestel is as Mark Bestuurder in die VSA, met ingang Januarie 2012, wanneer ons amptelik `n kantoor in die VSA gaan open. Hierdie aanstelling en strategiese skuif reflekteer die industrie se toenemende fokus op die VSA mark.

Annette het `n Honneursgraad in Bemarking en het 12 jaar ervaring in the Suid-Afrikaanse wynbedryf, waarvan `n groot gedeelte in die VSA bestee is, waar sy waardevolle ervaring opgedoen het terwyl sy vir `n prominente invoerder gewerk het. Annette het die laaste 2 jaar as Mark Bestuurder vir Wines of South Africa in Nederland and Belgie gewerk, wat  vir haar die nodige generiese inslag gebied het.

Annette sal aanbly tot Desember 2011 om `n gemaklike oordrag te verseker aangesien WOSA sal voortgaan met `n volgehoue strategie in hierdie markte. Wine and Food Associates was vir die laaste 11 jaar WOSA se verteenwoordiger in die VSA en ons sal Rory Callahan se dienste as `n konsultant aanhou. Sy waardevolle ervaring sal vir Annette help om so effektief moontlik die mark te betree en die kantoor te vestig.
